Objectives
The project aims at the digital support of mathematical modelling under the perspective of the United Nations’ (2015) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs are as follows:

We as the consortium support the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN.
The above-mentioned aim results in three specific objectives:
- Development of a digital tool for the teaching and learning of mathematical modelling
- Creation of a substantial open database of ready-to-use materials in the form of tasks related to the SDGs
- Research on and dissemination of the digital supported mathematical modelling in the context of the SDGs
Implementation
The three specific objectives result in the following activities:
- Development of a web portal for teachers and a mobile app for secondary students
- Creation of peer-reviewed mathematical modelling tasks of various task tasks in the context of the SDGs and their provision in multiple languages
- a) Development and implementation of educational courses for pre-service and in-service teachers
b) Design-based research aiming at the continuous evaluation of technical, material-based and educational project results
Results
- Provision of a high-quality system for the preparation, conduct, management, monitoring and evaluation of mathematical modelling activities in educational practice
- Provision of a rich and high-quality database for mathematical modelling activities that contribute to student’s awareness of European and global issues
- Dissemination of the project and its technical, material-based, educational and research-based results among pre-service teachers, in-service teachers and the scientific community
